THE GTA'S FIRST CHOICE FOR SPRAY FOAM INSULATION!   416-855-3626

Screen Shot 2015-06-30 at 12.53.52 PMFoamworks specializes in the installation of medium density spray foam insulation. This is commonly referred to as 2 lb foam. It is a closed cell, non-porous spray foam.

This type of foam is resistant to moisture penetration which makes it suitable as a vapour barrier in most applications. Medium density spray foam is polyurethane (plastic) based and cures quickly to form a hard, rigid ‘shell’ which serves as a very good thermal barrier. In fact, closed cell foam maintains a higher R-value than virtually all other types of insulation. The long term R-value of the 2 lb foam we use is greater than 6 per inch!’

FoamWorks Only Sprays Premium Products!

PFSI/Demilec and BASF have been involved in the research, development and manufacturing of spray foam insulation for several decades. They have always taken their commitment to the environment very seriously, being pioneers in the development of environmentally friendly spray foam.

Both Polarfoam Soya and HeatLok Soya (manufactured by Demilec), are arguably the best spray foams available on the market, with long term proven track records! They are partially composed of renewable vegetable oils, water, and recycled plastics. Please click on the links below for detailed product information and specifications.

 enviro_icon Our Environmental Commitment

Green building practices and energy efficient design have become important priorities to Canadian housing consumers. Not only does a green building reduce its environmental footprint, it provides a healthier and more comfortable living and working environment. Perhaps the most important element of energy efficient design is the building envelope, of which insulation is a key component. Building insulation has come a long way since it came into common use in the middle part of the last century.

Conventional methods of insulating are quickly becoming as outdated as the coal powered furnace or the single pane window. Spray foam insulation is no longer considered radical, but rather a sensible choice for all home and building owners who value comfort, energy conservation and the environment. While the spray foam we use is partially composed of recycled plastics with a soy component, what really makes our spray foam green is the superior level of energy efficiency it provides.
